This week we have worked on outlining our production pipeline for the new interns starting June 11th. This Friday we will acquaint them with the software we use; they will be set up with a GitHub and Hack n Plan account as well as being added to the google drive, blog and Facebook group.
We have outlined what their tasks will be on their first week, but we are still waiting on dual monitors and computers in the secondary room so we have enough space for everyone.
The new interns will include a concept artist, an environment artist and a materials artist (as well as a programmer who is already on the team as our Lead programmer). The concept artist will begin work on some organic sculpts inducing trees and the Semi-Sub Subterranean Temple Tenon heads; the environment artist will be sculpting landscapes in World Machine and the materials artist will be creating materials for the exterior landscapes.

We've also worked on a burn away material as a way to transition between levels; this is better than implementing teleportation which may cause motion sickness, we want to limit this where possible.

We have been discussing UI and leap Motion as well as creating a flow chart to show how different controllers will be implemented into VR (dependent on whether the player has Leap Motion or not etc.).

Our programmer is also working on the grabbing mechanic using Leap Motion in Unreal; this would allow players to pick up objects and transport them (this would work well for keys if we use that idea to unlock new levels).

Modelling progress is going well; Chiripa is close to completion, it needs texturing which will be next steps in the following weeks. Progress on the Semi-Subterranean temple is also progressing steadily.
Using reference imagery to create temple modular assets.
There has also been good progress with the game design document; mostly discussing UI and movement.
